St Ives Food and Drink Festival announces evening music acts for 2021

St Ives Food and Drink Festival has revealed the Music Line up for the 2021 event which runs from the 17th – 19th September 2021, including the exciting Andy Quick, Freshly Squeezed, Cable Collective and Roustabouts.

Located at Porthminster Beach, St Ives, this event is free to attend during the day with tickets available to purchase for the evening music.

Friday night’s opening party welcomes Andy Quick and Freshly Squeezed

As an eclectic songwriter and laid back storyteller who has played countless festivals nationally and internationally Andy hits the stage with a soaring voice, shimmering guitar, a thumping foot stomper and a lively bunch of anthems hand picked from 12 years of inspired song writing with his festival bands

Freshly squeezed are the South West UK’s most exciting funk and hip hop outfit covering popular classic turns and rare grooves with their unmistakeable fresh take on each track. Get ready to dance your Friday night away under the stars with a mashup of old and new styles to slay any dancefloor.

On Saturday night the festival welcomes The Roustabouts and the Cable Street Collective

Hailing from Falmouth and performing a theatrical mixture of gypsy, Balkan, folk, dance, and swing influenced original songs and arrangements; The Roustabouts Collective offer a musical cabaret experience that will amuse, bemuse and amaze!

Closing out the evening, the London-based seven-piece Cable Street Collective have spent the last year writing and recording new material whilst they get ready for festival season to return. Recent releases showcase the direction of the new album. Their latest recordings are songs that have been road-tested extensively, with back-to-back summers tearing up the likes of Boomtown, Bestival, Secret Garden Party, The Isle of Wight Festival, and the Lake of Stars Festival (Malawi)

Then on Sunday, Bailey Tomkinson will grace the stage for the last day at St Ives Festival. A singer-songwriter from St Ives, is part of the new wave of British Country influenced artists. When not performing, she can be found surfing the waves at her local Porthmeor beach.

Recently featured in The Metro, The Times and on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Bailey’s mix of pop-country hooks and relatable storytelling has earned her comparisons with an early Taylor Swift and the legendary Emmylou Harris.

Following Bailey, Leeds-based Howlin’ Ric & the Rocketeers play vibrant and authentic rock and roll, roving from raucous rhythm and blues right through to dreamy popcorn love songs.

Lee Bater, Festival Director said: “We’ve pulled out the stops to bring three amazing and energy-filled nights of music to the festival. Entry to the St Ives Food and Drink Festival will be free, with tickets needed for these evening music sessions.”

Children are welcome at the music events and under 12s go free with no ticket required. Children aged 12 and over will need a ticket and all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
