The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are open to applications from almost all businesses of all sizes throughout the UK in every sector.
In 2020 220 UK businesses were recognised for their contribution to international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility) 19 of which were in the South West.
The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2020 included:
· 128 awards for international trade
· 66 awards for innovation

Winners are allowed to use a recognised Royal Emblem that will get their business noticed, above and beyond the competition and representatives from the winning companies will attend a Royal reception. The award is presented by Lord Lieutenant at the winners' premises - a great opportunity not only to boost staff morale, but also to gain press coverage.
