Peer Networks give local businesses New Year boost
Senior managers from SMEs across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly will be giving their businesses a New Year boost of free expert advice as part of a Government-funded regional business support network.
Two new cohorts for the fully funded Peer Networks Programme will meet on January 12th and January 14th as part of the scheme to help them develop and improve their businesses.
And there are still a handful of places available on the two new cohorts for any business that can register its interest by January 10th.
The Peer Networks scheme offers business bosses one-to-one sessions with industry experts, workshops on industry specific business skills and the chance to benefit from the collective experience of the group.
The programme is managed by the IBD business advice group on behalf of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Growth Hub.
Stu Anderson, Operations Director for the Growth and Skills Hub said “the Peer Networks Programme was a unique opportunity for business owners to gain specialist advice aimed at boosting their companies’ success in group and one-to-one sessions.”
Colin Pollard of the IBD Group explained that the programme was fully funded by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy meaning there was no cost to the individual businesses.
“We still have a few places on both groups and it’s not too late to apply. But we do need to hear from businesses interested in joining the cohorts by Monday, January 10th so that they can be included in the first sessions,” he said.
To be eligible to join businesses must have been trading for over one year, have had at least five employees before the pandemic and have a turnover of at least £100,000 in one of the last three years.
