Inclusion Cornwall invite applications for 20 Year Awards Celebration

By Inclusion Cornwall - 08th May 2024

Inclusions Cornwall staff are inviting people to nominate organisations, projects or people working successfully for inclusion over the past 20 years.

Applications for the 20 Year Awards Celebration can be from any sector where people have been supported away from exclusion or preventing exclusion in the first place.

Inclusion Cornwall was established 20 years ago to co-ordinate the wide range of activities taking place in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to reduce worklessness and raise employment rates through understanding job ready and economically inactive people.

Inclusion is described as: "The process of creating a welcoming and supportive environment where all individuals are respected, valued, and provided with equality of opportunity, to fully participate and contribute to society."

Sapphire McDermott, Inclusion Cornwall, said: “Don’t be restricted by the categories you can apply for. We want to hear about what you feel has made a difference.

“You could be a big or small service or charity in any sector. Plus, it could cover any topic: health, housing, community, work, debt, countryside, benefits, reducing poverty, transport, caring, innovation, services.”

The deadline for nominations is 20th May 2024 and it is free to enter.
