High profile Cornwall Tour of Britain seeks business backing

As announced back in March, all eyes will be on Cornwall once again as the Tour of Britain Grand Départ will kick off on Sunday 5 September in Penzance, with a tricky uphill finish in Bodmin some 180 kilometres later.

The Tour of Britain, the most prestigious road race cycling event in the UK, is scheduled to take place between Sunday 5 and Sunday 12 September 2021, with 8 stages starting in Cornwall and finishing in the Scottish city of Aberdeen.

This will be the largest free to watch sports event ever held in Cornwall involving international cycling teams competing fiercely to win Stage one of the race. The event is televised on ITV4 and Eurosport, which gets approximately a minimum of 500,000 viewers per live coverage of each Stage, and covered extensively on BBC Radio 5Live and local radio.
