Captain Satsuma has Landed!

By Captain Satsuma Ltd - 28th April 2020

Captain Satsuma Limited, a children’s storybook business based in Cornwall, is celebrating the official launch of its debut children’s storybook.  Entitled Captain Satsuma has Landed, it’s a fast paced, fun adventure for early readers. The book also aims to give enjoyment to parents and guardians who share a child’s reading experience.

Children’s health and happiness are vital components to their development. The book and subsequent follow up books will bring a number of important issues together. The need for a good healthy diet. The importance of protecting nature and the environment. And the role recycling can play in our planet now, and in the future.

Author James Hopson says that “In order to attract a child’s attention, I’ve worked with an excellent illustrator to develop a range of humorous characters. Making them interesting and engaging is so important to me, as the characters deliver the important messages, through my books, website and social media platforms.”

Captain Satsuma Limited, has joined forces with a number of other Cornwall based businesses to bring the project to life. Illustration, social media management, proof-reading and printing are all carried out by local Cornish businesses.

James comments on this “The current crisis our world finds itself in has shown how people coming together can make a difference. I think business can learn from this and drive each other forward in the coming months and years.

Cornwall in lots of ways is leading the way with innovation and creativity in the UK. There is an excellent business network support running alongside both established and start-up businesses in the county. Being part of all of this is exciting for the future.”

Captain Satsuma is going to be very busy in the coming weeks and months. You can check in on him at www.captainsatsuma.co.uk.  And remember “Don’t forget your five a day.”
