Beach Retreats provides prize project for Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr
Beach Retreats - a self-catering specialist with more than 200 beautiful properties along the coast of Cornwall - is featuring in Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr on BBC One.
The chance to redesign a self-catering property in The Village, Watergate Bay, is up for grabs for the winner of the hit show.
Now in its third year and hosted by TV presenter and comedian Alan Carr, the eight-part series kicks off tonight [on Wednesday 9th March] in a new primetime slot on BBC One.
Week-by-week ten talented, up and coming designers will battle it out for the exclusive prize in a range of design challenges under the watchful eye of Head Judge, former Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Decoration magazine, Michelle Ogundehin.
The winner of the series will curate colours and textures, style furniture and draw inspiration from the Cornish landscape to create a space designed for holidays by the sea. The dog-friendly property just moments from the shoreline, will be available for bookings from late spring and will add yet more diversity to Beach Retreats’ collection of stylish properties which range from harbourside fisherman cottages and characterful clifftop chalets to contemporary houses.
Andrew Easton, Managing Director of Beach Retreats, comments: “All of our retreats are within walking distance of a good beach and are in easy reach of amazing local amenities – but they are so much more than just a great location. They are beautifully designed and have meticulously finished interiors. We are excited to bring the show winner into our interior design collective and see their transformation.”
From the team behind Watergate Bay Hotel, Beach Retreats is all about being close to the best beaches, eating and drinking well and exploring beautiful places. In 2021 the agency enjoyed the most successful year in its 12-year history. As well as achieving 100% summer occupancy across the portfolio, Beach Retreats also expanded further from its north Cornwall origins, spanning into all corners of the county, from Widemouth Bay and Cawsand to Falmouth and St Ives.
The winner of Interior Design Masters will be crowned on Wednesday 27th April on BBC One at 9pm.
