Applications are now open for the 2025 Fantastic for Families Awards!

By Family Arts Campaign - 03rd June 2025

Celebrating arts engagement for families & older people across the UK.

Every child and family should be able to access arts and culture, and the Family Arts Campaign is once again celebrating those who bring creativity to the lives of families and older people. They are now accepting applications for the UK-wide Fantastic for Families Awards, funded by Arts Council England. These prestigious Awards celebrate outstanding creative projects and activities for families of all ages across the UK. This year, the three award categories are: ‘Best Family Arts Activity’, ‘Best Age-Friendly Outreach’ and ‘Audience Impact and Innovation Award’.

From art galleries, libraries and museums to theatre producers, circus artists, music marketers and directors, Family Arts Campaign are on the hunt to discover and champion the best family-friendly and age-friendly activities and initiatives that were delivered between April 2024 and March 2025.

2025 marks the thirteenth year of the awards, and the need to spotlight and share best practice remains as vital as ever. Arts and culture professionals have continued to face significant challenges in recent years – from the lasting impacts of the pandemic to ongoing economic pressures – affecting both the sector and its audiences. Yet despite these hurdles, cultural organisations and practitioners have continued to innovate, offering outstanding activities, resources and programmes for families from all backgrounds.

The Fantastic for Families Awards are run by Family Arts Campaign, the national organisation funded by Arts Council England to support the arts and cultural sector to raise family engagement with arts and culture. The Family Arts Campaign invites applications from any organisations that have provided creative and cultural activities for families and/or older
people anywhere in the UK between 1 April 2024 – 31 March 2025. To be eligible, organisations must commit to the Family Arts Standards or Age-Friendly Standards to ensure they’re embedding best practice and delivering a positive experience for families or older people. Signing up for our Standards is free!

Applications are by self-nomination and open to organisations of all sizes. Family Arts Campaign welcomes small grassroots projects, knowing the big impact they can have on their communities. If you meet the eligibility criteria, Family Arts Campaign want to hear from you.
