Preparing for new changes to employee rights
Find out what's changing and check what applies to your business.
Workplace rights are changing from February 2026. These reforms have been developed in partnership with businesses and are designed to support a productive, fair economy that works for employers and employees alike.
Changes are being introduced gradually, giving you time to prepare. The Department for Business has published a range of resources, factsheets and guidance to help businesses comply with the Employment Rights Act 2025. The resources cover statutory sick pay, paternity leave, unpaid parental leave, the Fair Work Agency and national living and minimum wages.
